The County makes an ideal family recreation destination with a major state park, five county parks, and eight state game lands abounding in wildlife.
The Indiana County parks and trails system encompasses 2,500 acres, or 3.9 square miles of parks, regional trails, natural areas and historic sites.
There are plenty of ways to get out and enjoy what Indiana County has to offer.
Experience a bit of "Hollywood Magic" at the Jimmy Stewart Museum. Take a step back in time by visiting the Amish Community of Smicksburg, and browse the town's craft boutiques. Or grab a bite to eat at a before you explore the unique local character of our small towns.

Fair Time - A Family Favorite!
This year is the 154th anniversary of the Indiana County Fair! The Fair takes place at the Indiana County Fairgrounds outside of Indiana Borough from August 26 through September 3.
Remember the Cookport and Oxhill Fairs for next year, too!
