A number of training programs are available in Indiana County. You'll find everything from courses in specialized fields to general education classes to college study programs.

Wyotech Blairsville

's 
history began in June 1966 when 22 students from Wyoming and surrounding states started their careers in Automotive Technology in Laramie, Wyoming. Since then, WyoTech has graduated over 26,000 students from across the nation and several foreign countries.

WyoTech opened its doors in the spring of 2002 for training in the automotive and collision/refinishing industries at a branch campus located in Blairsville, Pennsylvania. This WyoTech Blairsville campus received its initial accreditation in October 2001 and has received approval from 48 state governing authorities.


WyoTech offers the following areas of study:

Automotive Technology
Collision Refinishing Technology
Diesel Technology

WyoTech has maintained a policy of constantly upgrading facilities and courses to meet growing demands of the automotive, diesel, and collision/refinishing industries. Throughout its history, WyoTech has kept its instructors abreast of the latest techniques, added new equipment as needed, and updated curriculum as changes occurred in the industry. "Moving into the Future" is not simply a slogan at WyoTech, it is a commitment.


Indiana County Technology Center


Image of trade schoolThe Indiana County Technology Center is a modern, well-equipped school with faculty dedicated to helping each student achieve success far beyond the expectations of entry level workers.

The mission of the Indiana County Technology Center is to provide all learners an environment that integrates technical and academic education with an emphasis on the development of skills. This provides the pathways to further education and employment in an ever-changing world.

The school also offers a full array of safety certification programs for the natural gas industry like SafeLandUSA, OSHA 10/30, First Aid/CPR/AED, Defensive Driving, Respirator FIT Testing, H2S and many more. All trainings can be delivered on-and off-site and tailored to company specifications.

Indiana County Community College


Indiana County Community College CenterThe Indiana County Community College Center is a branch of Westmoreland Community College located in Indiana County near the Jimmy Stewart Airport. Easily accessible from Route 286 and Route 119, the center contains six classrooms, one computer lab, one nursing lab and a student lounge.

 

Day and evening classes are conducted at the center. Some of the areas of study are:

•Electronics  


For the convenience of students, services such as counseling, advising, and financial aid are available. In addition, at scheduled times, students can pay tuition and fees and purchase textbooks at the center.
