Jimmy Stewart Airshow

The Jimmy Stewart Airshow is one of the premier Aviation Events in Pennsylvania. Its purpose is to promote the Indiana County Jimmy Stewart Airport along with the community in general. Indiana County has a lot to share with its rich history, culture, academics and bustling downtown area, which is a rare gem itself in Western Pennsylvania. The Jimmy Stewart Airport is a vital economic asset and transportation link in our area and it is the goal of the airshow organizers to draw attention to these assets as well as emphasize the importance and need of a successful airport. 

The Airshow promotes aviation and creates a platform for young people to see how this field offers tremendous opportunities and a rewarding career choice.

The headline performers for this year’s Airshow are Scott Francis, aerobatic champion; Chef Pitts Airshows, aerobatic champion; Kevin Russo and the Jersey Jerks’ T-6 flight formation; RJ Gritter; and Manfred Radius, sailplane aerobatic pilot. Our best local pilots will compete in “Airplane Corn Hole” (a precision flying contest). Charlie Cartledge and the Lake Erie War birds will do their “Flight of the Flags” to honor our fallen pilots and keep their stories alive. The Air Heritage Museum and Jason Capra’s “Beach City Baby” will offer static displays.
